Hormonal Imbalances a Contributing Factor in Rosacea. The problem of Rosacea is one that has been faced by many in our society. People especially between the age of 30 to 40 experience Rosacea. The occurrence of this skin condition at this age can certainly be a big factor which can guide us to the cause of Rosacea. Most of the people at this age experience a lot of hormonal imbalances. Researchers and studies have shown that hormonal imbalance is a common factor in a majority of Rosacea patients.
The causes of the formation of Rosacea are still unknown, however many believe it to be because of hormonal imbalance. It has been observed that some patients undergoing the process of menopause and perimenopause or other hormonal imbalances commonly face the problem of Rosacea. This is a time in a women’s life when her hormone levels are out of balance and changing. Since, wide hormonal imbalances more commonly occur in women, Rosacea affects women in greater numbers compared to men. However, it can even effect men and when it does the conditions have been observed to be much severe and drastic.
Today the problem of hormonal imbalance has become very common in our society. There are basically two hormones that must exist in proper proportions in a woman’s body; progesterone and estrogen. In men it is testosterone. The inability of the body to get rid of toxins can also lead to a hormonal imbalance. Most women that find balance (hormones) experience a considerable improvement in their Rosacea.
In addition to hormone levels, stress and tension are often associated with aggravating Rosacea. When a patient is under stress and tension the hormone levels in his or her body are out of control, this can lead to imbalance in the hormone levels thus contributing to the cause of Rosacea. So it is always advised that one suffering from this skin condition spends ample time relaxing. Along with avoiding spicy food, limit exposure to sun and heat all of this are factors that have been noted to aggravate Rosacea.
