Are you suffering from rosacea? According to National Rosacea Society, over 16 million Americans are affected! There is no cure for rosacea yet, but it is possible to reduce or remove the symptoms! We suggest you try these natural remedies.
1. Raw Honey Face Mask
Raw honey is one of nature’s many wonders and is a very good natural treatment for rosacea. Honey has been known to heal skin conditions since the Stone Ages! It is antibacterial and humectant. It also contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. And it regulates the skin’s pH-levels.
A honey face mask also hydrates your skin and makes it smoother. We recommend that you use a honey mask once a week. In this way, you can get rid of the symptoms you have. You can also prevent other symptoms from appearing.
Important: Remember to use raw honey as pasteurized honey doesn’t contain the same benefits. Pasteurization renders its natural enzymes and probiotics inactive. You should also spot test the face masks to check that you do not react badly.

Coconut oil is another ancient treatment for skin conditions like rosacea. It is rich in saturated fats which both makes the skin feel smooth and soft when applied, and holds in moisture, keeping the skin supple over time. It contains antioxidants and nutrients that are good for the skin.
If you suffer from rosacea, your face may be inflamed because you eat too much animal fats. Because of this, replacing these fats with coconut oil will reduce inflammation.
Use both in food and as a face mask.
3. Foods high in Omega 3
Omega 3 fatty acids are crucial for your health. Some of the benefits include decreasing the risk of heart disease and stroke, helping reduce the symptoms of depression, hypertension, joint pain, arthritis AND chronic skin ailments like rosacea.
Foods like wild salmon, sardines, walnuts and flax seeds all help to reduce inflammation among other benefits.
Our bodies react poorly to certain proteins and become inflamed because of this. If you base your diet on proteins, try some fish for a while.
4. Cucumber Face Mask
Cucumbers are mainly composed of water, but also contains vitamins A, C, E and caffeic acid. These help to soothe skin irritation and reduce swelling. The outer skin of the cucumber contains magnesium, potassium, and silica.
Cucumber has good properties for hydration of your skin. This helps you open your pores and reduce the size of blood vessels in your face. This means that the redness caused by rosacea will slowly decrease.
It is best to use this mask twice a week when you have severe symptoms. When you have fewer symptoms, you should only use it once a month.
Recipe Cucumber Face Mask
Several slices of cucumber
2-3 tablespoons natural yogurt
Puree the cucumber slices, mix with the yogurt.
Apply to the face for approximately 10 minutes. Wash off with cool water.
Or you could simply place whole chilled cucumber slices over the affected areas for 10-15 minutes.

You can take advantage of green tea in two ways:
– Drink one or two cups a day.
– Or, you can use a cold tea bag on the affected area.
6. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is a good remedy for reducing inflammations. When it comes to rosacea, aloe vera gel soothes the redness. At the same time, it reduces inflammation and secondary reactions.
Because of this, it’s a good idea to always have an aloe vera plant or some gel at hand. It is easy to apply when symptoms begin to appear.
It is very important to purchase pure aloe vera gel when treating rosacea. Many over-the-counter products contain chemicals that can cause rosacea to flare up. They can also be diluted so the effect is severely reduced.
